About the Role

As the in house expert for Urban and Town Planning, your role will be to consult, advise and direct the development team and a team data miners and researchers about the accuracy, validity and currency of various planning regulations, the hierarchy of national versus state versus council regulations, and provide expert advice on the myriad of various issues developers face when trying to secure a development approval on any given site.

You will advise the development team on how to build the planning regulations into the technology in a way that allows fast accurate and seamless generation of solutions to the most difficult property and design problems.


About the Successful Candidate


You will receive a favourable response to your application only if you possess the following attributes:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Urban or Town Planning
  • At least 5 years experience in planning solving complex development, property and design issues
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with people ranging from fast-paced, quick-thinking developers to more structured, methodical council authorities
  • A progressive, innovative and passionate desire to deliver digital transformation 
  • A technologically savvy skillset

Responsibilities

Planning & Data
  • Quality Assurance of planning rules captured by the team
  • Sourcing of new or updated planning documentation
  • Assist with verification of data enrichment within special precincts
  • Interpretation of planning rules data
  • Upkeep of planning document library/database
Technical
  • Consult on planning data hierarchy to the UX/UI team
  • Assist with the workflow development for compliance features
Customer Success
  • Assist with day to day planning rules enquiries
  • Consult on planning regulations for custom scenario projects
  • Assist in developing and promoting 100% trust in the organisations' data capability
Government

Liaise with local councils to obtain detailed information on:
  • Zoning
  • Flooding
  • Bushfire
  • Heritage
  • Precinct Planning
  • Draft documentation
Consult on strategic projects in Enterprise & Government Sales
